On our first "Arbor Day" of the year, students met "their trees".
They collected data that included recording the GPS coordinates and measuring circumference.

October 26, 2017 ~ Fall Work Day
This week, our fifth grade students worked hard under very windy conditions. They found their own trees and working together with a partner, they identified and removed all of the weeds from around the base of each tree. Finally, they made sure the trees were protected with the mulch that was spread last spring. They worked hard with plenty of smiles and excellent attitudes! We are ready for winter!

We had a beautiful morning without wind to plant milkweed seeds. How can this be December 1st?! Many hands made light work.
Thank you to the students of Mrs. Stewart. We're looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor in the spring!
