Project RESCUE Field Trips ~ Fall 2006 Photo Gallery

Fall Trip ~ Students identified and measured prairie grasses and forbes, organized their data into graphs, and wrote in their nature journals while sitting on the prairie. On a nature hike through the woods, they looked for seeds and identified the different ways they are dispersed. The also collected examples of the leaves they assembled in their annual leaf collection and made rubbings. Through a scavenger hunt inside the visitor center, they learned about bats, snakes, turtles, pollution, and listened to the birds at the feeders.
