Common Name - Osage Orange

Scientific Name - Maclura pomifera

Description:  alternate, simple; shiny dark green above, paler and smooth below, 2.5 to 5 inches long and 1.5 to 3 inches wide; oval, with a long, pointed tip; lacking teeth; turning yellow before shedding in fall.  The slender petioles are from 1 to 2.5 inches in length.
