Tree located at Private Residence 2412 Champaign Avenue Mattoon, Illinois

Description:

short trunk with thick graceful, outreaching branches forming a rounded crown.  Grows to heights of 50 feet with a diameter of 2 feet.

Habitat:

yards, vacant lots, near older buildings, along train tracks, in moist fertile ground.      Range:  widely naturalized from Michigan to S. New England and south to Texas and Florida.
