Description:  deciduous;  alternate;  pinnately compound;  12 to 24 inches long, with 9 to 21 leaflets, each 2.5 to 5 inches long, broadly lance-shaped with fine sawteeth;  smooth above, hairy beneath, green to dark green, turning yellow in fall.
